Darius Curta was born in Bistrița, Romania. He left for France after trying law school, taught himself French, and built a hospitality career in Aix-en-Provence that lasted from 2002 to 2016.

In 2017 he joined Louis Vuitton in Dubai as a client advisor, became an in-store trainer, and learned that luxury is the act of selling a dream rather than a product.

Since 2020 he has helped build Hortman Clinics in Dubai, serving as Managing Director from May 2022. He lives in Dubai with his family.
