Bistrița,
and what followed.

Darius Curta was born in Bistrița, Romania. Until the age of 2, he lived there. Then his family moved to Cluj, where they stayed until he was 7. From 7 to 20, he grew up in Oradea, close to the Hungarian border.

His father was a colonel in the Romanian army. The household was disciplined and structured. His mother brought kindness, spirituality, and an artistic sensibility. Between the two, he learned to speak up when something was wrong, but also to lead with warmth.

The early years were not easy. A tendency toward risk ran in the family, and Darius had to confront his own version of it later in life. But the foundation was set: integrity, courage, and the belief that change is possible if you are willing to leave what you know.
